Don Johnson Charity Blackjack Tournament Raises $5,000 for D.A.R.E.
Last week in Atlantic City the Double Down win Don Johnson Charity Blackjack Tournament took place and raised $5,000 for the charity D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education).
The tournament took place at the Golden Nugget casino and was won by a team from Philadelphia’s Soundgarden Hall. The team nominated charity D.A.R.E. and received the cheque from the casino.
Don Johnson won a massive $5.5 million playing blackjack last year.
While he may not have managed to win this time around, the celebrity player still donated $10,000 of his own money to the Saint Ephrem School.
The tournament was held in the Golden Nugget’s Haven nightclub and had a total of thirteen entrants.
With Atlantic City casinos facing more and more competition, they are always looking for new ways to promote their tables and Don Johnson’s tournament was definitely a PR success for the Golden Nugget.
It’s definitely worth watching Don Johnson if you’re a blackjack fan. He has won over $15 million off of Atlantic City casinos in just a few months and a further $4 million at Caesars and $5 million at the Borgata.
