European iGaming Congress due to Take Place in Milan

Members of the gaming community are preparing for the arrival of the 10th annual European iGaming (EiG) Congress and Expo in Milan later this month. The hotly anticipated event, which is due to take place between 19 and 22 September, will form part of the Totally iGaming week and looks set to attract more than 1,500 delegates from the industry.

Italian gaming has rarely been out of the headlines this month with several major advancements in the realm of regulation. Operators are now hoping to enjoy a slice of a potentially lucrative market and will be using the conference to establish new business relationships within the rapidly expanding sector. A series of CEO panels featuring industry experts will also be on hand to offer guidance to leaders hoping to make their mark in the field.

The first CEO panel will discuss the future of operators versus local. Country brands. Subsequent panel debates will centre on issues such as player retention, taxation and regulation, the function of social media, convergence of platforms and competitive advantage in product verticals. Representatives from internationally renowned brands including William Hill, eCOGRA and Bodog will also be on hand to offer their contributions.

Meanwhile other industry leaders are hoping to use the EiG congress to raise their profiles within the sector. The revered gaming software provider Playtech is due to be the lead sponsor of the event whilst exhibitors such as Skrill, eCOGRA, MicroGaming and the Alderney Gambling Control Council will also have a strong presence. Gamers and operators will no doubt be monitoring proceedings with very close interest indeed.
