Insiders Sell Tickets and Claim Rewards in Canada

Every now and then we hear some sort of fraud. At times, the fraud has to do with gambling. However, when we do hear about gambling fraud it’s usually the players who try to trick the online casino or house. This time, news of a different kind of gambling fraud comes from Canada were the Ontario Lottery believes several ticket sellers were misusing the system following a disproportionate level of high wins by ticket distributors. As a result, the Ontario Alcohol and Gaming Commission will be in charge of investigating any future wins over $10,000 that are claimed by ticket sellers.

Such incidents shred the credibility of the Lottery in Ontario but they also damage the image of online gambling and gambling as an industry. Most players find online gambling to be an entertaining way to spend the time while at home, but where large sums of money exists – there will always be negative elements that try to take advantage of the system. This was probably the case with the Ontario Lottery scheme, if in fact there was one. Ontario Lottery decided that no chances will be taken and any win that’s claimed by family members or even an individual that’s living with a ticket retailer will be investigated. These acts come as an attempt to build the system’s credibility again.

People need to know that their money is secure and that the only risk of them losing their money comes from the actual game and nothing more.
