Malta Award for Online Casino Hospitality

The Lotteries and Gaming Authority of Malta was recently the recipient of an award for online casino gambling by British magazine Business Britain. Recognition of the organization’s approach to online casino gaming is particularly timely given the United Kingdom government’s introduction of new gambling legislation in Britain. The award was presented to chief executive of the Lotteries and Gaming Authority, Mario Galea, for ‘Excellent Services to Online Casino Gambling.’

Galea expressed his gratitude for the Business Britain award, adding that it was a particular honor taking into consideration how stringent the United Kingdom’s own regulatory policies toward the online casino industry are. Galea also stated that the nature of the online casino market in which the Lotteries and Gaming Authority of Malta works also emphasizes that winning the award is an outstanding achievement. Malta has long been associated with the online casino industry and has licensed hundred of operators in recent years.

The online casino gambling award was presented at the Malta High Commission in London. The Lotteries and Gaming Authority’s Legal Enforcement Director, Anthony Axisa, echoed Mario Galea’s sentiments, expressing his gratitude for the recognition. “This award attests to the validity of Lotteries and Gaming Authority’s strategy toward online casino gambling and acknowledges our success. We are delighted to be recognized for our services to the industry,” Axisa said.
