New Online Casino Games in 2006

What sort of online casino games can we expect to see be released next year? Will they be the standard card game, slot machine, and roulette wheel fare, or will they be classic games with an added twist? Will they be online casino games with no connection to previous, classic, or traditionally accepted casino games as online casinos reach out desperately to gain the eye of a public that pretty much already supports them? The latter of all of them is the most likely of all of the possibilities. If there is a market, you can bet people will offer such games. And there is a market.

Online casinos have always tried to distinguish themselves by being different from all of the other computer game operators and companies out there. So the question being asked by industry analysts is “just because there is a market, should online casino companies be wasting their time making games that are of a fringe appeal rather than popular appeal?” If there is nothing to distinguish online casino games from other computer games other than the requirement to pay in order to play them, what kind of message will this send to future potential customers – or even future potential investors?

When you visit an online casino, what games interest you? You don’t often hear online casino companies ask such questions, but you are able to visit many an online site and see the winning percentages for various games. It would probably serve online casinos well if they focused on improving those games shown to be popular as well as profitable for customers, rather than wasting money on new games that have neither the draw nor the skill of other games. There is no suspense with many of the games being offered at some online casino sites, and it may be that the classics will be unaffected, with games like online poker remaining the mainstay of online gambling companies.
