Early Tuesday morning a fire broke out at a restaurant under construction at the Monte Carlo casino in Las Vegas.
The blaze broke out on the ground floor of the two-story site where a Double Barrel Roadhouse restaurant is being built. The restaurant is situated at the casino’s northern Las Vegas Boulevard entrance.
Fortunately the fire didn’t spread further than the restaurant’s bar area and nearby construction materials and thankfully there were no other injuries reported.
In a brief statement the MGM Resorts spokesman, Mary Hynes said, “Last night’s incident at Monte Carlo was minor. Hotel operations were not affected. No evacuations were necessary. Business today continues as usual and construction activity has resumed.”
Hynes went on to explain that the company is still assessing the extent of the damage and that the cause of the fire is not yet known.
