Senator John McCain was caught playing poker on his iPhone during a Congressional hearing over Syria.

After the session a photo appeared of McCain playing a game called VIP Poker while John Kerry was arguing about taking military action.

According to TinyCo, the company behind the game, since the incident daily installations of the app have increased by 30%.

McCain was playing for “fake” money and apparently lost thousands of these fake dollars during the hearing. After being caught McCain tweeted, “Scandal! Caught playing iPhone game at 3+ hour Senate hearing – worst of all I lost!”

Later on McCain commented, “As much as I like to always listen in rapt attention constantly to remarks of my colleagues over a three-and-a-half-hour period, occasionally I get a little bored and so I resorted” to poker. “But the worst thing about it is I lost thousands of dollars in this game.”

Luckily for American citizens it seems that McCain is a far better senator than he is poker player, nonetheless one can forgive him for being distracted from the game by the debate going on around him.
