888 Holdings Set to Launch in Nevada
The CEO of 888 Holdings, Brian Mattingley, has said that the company is about to enter the Nevada online gambling market.
Mattingley said that it will launch online poker software in Nevada by the coming summer and predicted that the financial effects would be felt in 2015.
Mattingley said, “In Nevada we are awaiting final sign off by the gaming control board on our software” and went on to say that the product should be live by the third quarter of this year. 888 has non-exclusive business to business deals with three Nevada based companies.
The poker operators is set to provide software for Caesars Interactive Entertainment, the owner of the World Series of Poker brand, there are also deals in place with Treasure Island and WMS Industries slot machine manufacturers.
Furthermore, 888 has set its sights on the New Jersey gambling market which has seen significant changes thanks to the signing of an interactive gambling law by Governor Chris Christie.
Matingley said that he is optimistic that New Jersey would clear the way for online casino games rather than limiting online gambling to poker as Nevada has done.
