The Nicest Lottery Winners Ever

A couple from Missouri who won the lottery bought a truck for themselves and then went on to use their winnings to fund scholarships and build a fire station for their town.
They are considered by many as the “nicest lottery winners ever” having won half of the biggest Powerball jackpot in history three months ago. Most of the $136.5 million they won has been put towards helping others.
The couple, Mark and Cindy Hill, have three sons and an adopted daughter.
They haven’t moved since winning but have given $50,000 to the town for a new sewage treatment plant which will allow residents to have their own septic tanks.
Mark has quit his job as a mechanic, but they have certainly kept their promise to give most of their winnings away.
Don McNay, author of “Life Lessons from the Lottery”, says that the couple are beyond exception. According to McNay, “most ordinary people who come into large sums of money become victims of their own lack of financial savvy or discipline.”
