Shuffle Master Receives Interactive License
Shuffle Master Inc. the table gaming and casino management equipment supplier has been granted a license by the Nevada Gaming Commission for interactive gaming.
The license allows Shuffle Master to work with land based casino operators and to provide online poker games as well as play-for-fun versions of their world famous table games such as Three Card Poker, Ultimate Texas Hold’Em and Fortune Pai Gow Poker.
Shuffle Master’s Chief Executive Officer, Gavin Isaacs, said that they “are elated to have been granted one of the initial unrestricted interactive licenses in the United States.” He went on to say that the license underlines Shuffle Master’s commitment to the online space and will help them achieve their “goal of becoming a leading supplier of online and mobile casino gaming products.”
Shuffle Master is now the third company which has been licensed for online gaming by the Nevada Gaming Commission. In June the slot machine makers Bally Technologies and International Game Technology also received licenses.
Isaacs said that Shuffle Master believes that the potential for online gaming is huge and that they are planning on using this opportunity to make the most of the innovation, proprietary brands and experience they are known for within the land casino industry. He said that they are hoping to use this experience and adapt it to their customers’ online needs.
The Chief Strategy Officer at Shuffle Master, Louis Castle, said that initially the company will be placing versions of its table games on free to play social gaming websites. However, they will eventually try to convert people who play the free games into casino customers who will play for real money in live settings. In the end Shuffle Master will develop an online content platform which will allow online operators to offer Shuffle Master’s games on websites, mobile devices and social networks.
