Viejas casino Voted San Diego’s Best, 9th Year Running
The results of the San Diego Union Tribune newspaper are in, and for the 9th year running, Viejashas been voted by the readers as San Diego’s “Best Casino”. The reader’s poll for the best casino competition was comprised of 99 individual categories.
The Viejas Tribal Chairman, Bobby Barrett, has said that the casino’s 9 year hold on the title is both impressive and an honor to have. He believes it reflects the hard work and dedication of the staff to continually striving to improve the experience of its guests and providing them with a destination that is jam-packed with food, entertainment and plain good fun.
One of the most unique aspects of the Viejas casino is its architecture, which is distinctly based on Native American themes and Kumeyaay culture. Its indoors are tricked out with literally thousands of slot machines, an off-track betting area, a poker room, a bingo hall, more than 80 of the most popular table games and six restaurants. Its restaurants were also voted as the best casino dining, due to expert chefs, varied menus and high quality gourmet food. Viejas casino also offers live entertainment at 3 different concert venues each night, which give a platform to both national and local talents.
According to the CEO of Viejas casino, Lynn Baxter, “there is something for everyone at Viejas,” and being voted as San Diego’s best casino by the casino-goers themselves is a “tremendous compliment”.
