Online Casino Group Welcomes U.S. Players
While several high profile online casinos firms such as Party Gaming and Richard Branson’s Virgin Gaming have decided to target casino players outside the U.S., British sports betting and online casinos firm Ladbrokes has announced that it may consider accepting U.S. fans of online casinos at its website.
Christopher Bell, recently appointed as chief executive officer for the online casinos group, has commented upon the firm’s intention to expand its international activities. Currently Ladbrokes filters out traffic at its online casinos from U.S. based players. However Bell has stated the company intends to “review our position regarding U.S. gaming customers” and intends to continue its acquisitions activities. Bell also confirmed that the online casinos firm will provide consultancy to a betting company based in China.
Since Ladbrokes first introduced its online casinos products, growth from its online ventures has increased by 94 percent each year. Revenue from online casinos poker rose 79 percent compared to 2004 to 41 million pounds sterling annually. Other casino games also increased 16 percent in revenue to 39 million pounds.
