Patent Granted on New Wayfinding Technology
Casino Data Imaging (CDI) were recently granted a patent on a new wayfinding technology which combines interacting landmarks with route guidance.
This leader in analysis solutions and advanced visualization for the casino industry, recently announced that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office issued the company patent 8,713,437.
This patent gives Casino Data Imaging the intellectual property of their wayfinding methods or iGuide™ program.
This program is designed to assist patrons to easily search and to locate any game on a casino floor.
Casinos also have the flexibility to add other venues such as restaurants or entertainment which can then be promoted, located as well as provide patrons with the necessary information on these venues.
As CDI spokesman George Levine said, “What we observed in analyzing wayfinding programs is often, when the customer leaves the kiosk, they are already lost or disoriented. iGuide’s technology includes a unique proven method tying in landmarks to the wayfinding route helping customers find their way.”
CDI was founded in 2001 and their solutions have assisted casinos in analyzing and making sense of a wide variety of important data.
CDI is also recognized for their award-winning GlobalSuite™ multi-module analysis program, GlobalSuite™ Enterprise and award winning iGuide™ Wayfinder Plus system. The basis of these systems is to maximize existing casino BI assets.
