BlackBerry Launches BB10 OS Devices

BlackBerry has released its first BB10 OS devices, the BlackBerry Z10 and Q10. The new OS has been built for touch phones, even on the Q10 device which has a full keyboard.

The first of the new BB10 OS devices have gone on sale with more to come in the following months.

The Blackberry Z10 has a 4.2” screen, a 1.5Ghz duel-core Krait CPU and there is 2GB of RAM which ensures that the phone will cope with multitasking.

The phone also features an 8MP camera which has a TimeShift and can film 1080p video. There are 16GB of extended storage which can be expanded with a microSD.

The phone has an advanced touchscreen keyboard which will more than makeup for the absence of a hardware keyboard.

The Blackberry Q10 has a touchscreen as well as a keyboard, the screen is a bit unusual, it is a 3.1” square screen with a 720 x 720 resolution. The phone has a stainless steel frame and “edge-to-edge” glass on the front. It has the same processor as the Z10.

The Z10 has already launched in the UK and is available on all major carriers and retailers. The phone will launch in Canada on February 5th and will cost $150 and in the US in March where it will cost around $200.

The BlackBerry Q10 is expected to launch in April.
