2013’s Technology Trends

As the New Year approaches people are starting to predict the major tech start-up trends that will feature next year.

One of the most popular predictions is that our phones will become even more central to our existence.

Already if we need to do something on a day to day basis there is nearly always an app for it available.

Whether it’s ordering a taxi or mechanic or booking a doctor’s appointment it is all possible via a smart phone. You can even use the phone to control the thermostat in your house.

This is likely to continue throughout next year with even more apps being created to help us carry out more of life’s daily tasks with greater ease and convenience.

It is also thought that our phones will become even more useful through the development of the use of sensors.

Our phones can already do much wirelessly and they are just the tip of the iceberg. Sensors now feature in things ranging from the Xbox Kinnect to Fotbit and Jawbone’s Up and replacements for standard cardboard board games.

This is before we even talk about the contactless payment systems which use NFC/RFID readers. It definitely seems as if phones will help make life will become even easier as time progresses.
