Apple Seeks Sales Ban on Galaxy S3

After a successful patent suit against Samsung, Apple has now filed another complaint with the same court. They are adding the Galaxy S3 and the Galaxy Note to the list of devices which Apple claims infringes its intellectual property.

After a successful patent suit against Samsung, Apple has now filed another complaint with the same court.
The filing was made last week and relates to a complaint made in February that listed 17 Samsung devices as violating Apple owned patents.
In that complaint (which is not the same as the one won last week) Apple sought a sales ban on Samsung’s Galaxy Nexus smartphone. The ban was awarded but has been lifted while it is appealed at a Washington court.
Apple tried to get a ban on the Galaxy S3 in June but it was put on hold due to a packed court schedule.
In the amended complaint Apple lists a number of Samsung products which supposedly infringe their patents including 21 new smartphones, media players and tablets which have been released over the past year.
Apple will be eager to prevent sales of the Galaxy S3 which has been selling quickly and received excellent reviews.
According to analysts it has significantly helped to increase Samsung’s lead over Apple in smartphone sales.
