The Wall Street Journal reported that Amazon that it is planning on introducing a cheaper tablet computer which will feature ads.

The ads will allow Amazon to sell the tablet at a lower price that rival devices, it is thought that the ads will be displayed when the device wakes up from sleep.

Amazon is hosting a media event on September 6th, it is expected that a new version of the Kindle Fire tablet computer will be announced and there is now speculation over the tablet with ads.

So far Apple has dominated the market for tablets with the iPad and Amazon and Google have failed to make any serious inroads into the market.

Analysts believe that price is one of the major factors that can be used to combat the iPad.

It is not known how much the tablet would cost, the Kindle Fire currently starts at $199 and the cheapest iPad is $399. Apple is expected to produce an iPad Mini later this year and it is thought that it could be priced at $249.

However, until real details are released by Amazon it is hard to tell how the product will compare to others on the market, for now there is just speculation.
