Breaking News: Get Ready For PlayStation Mobile This Fall

Sony has announced the launch of PlayStation Mobile, it’s lately foray into mobile technology.

Slated for this fall, the new service will finally merge the popular PlayStation platform with Sony’s mobile offerings.

PlayStation Mobile will only be available in the US, Japan, Canada, UK, France, Italy, Germany, Spain and Australia. Video game developers have been testing it since April. Sony expects to launch the new mobile service with about 30 new games.

Though Apple is best known for its “mobile and pc eco-system”, Sony also has its own set of products that (should) all work together. Until now, mobile wasn’t as strong as Sony’s customers wanted. Players will be able to buy a game once and download it to their other devices.

Both Samsung and Apple have major new products ready for release in late August and September. Stay tuned for a busy mobile season!
