Online Casino Technology Advancements Focus of G2E Summit
The international expansion of online casino gaming and the technology advancements taking place in this market were the major focus of the G2E keynote panel. This summit, which brings online casino industry leaders together to discuss the progress and future of the online casinos world including technology changes and advancements, allowed these leaders to give their insights on what will define the next generation of global gaming. Moderated by American Gaming Association (AGA) President and CEO Frank J. Fahrenkopf, Jr., the panel also discussed the importance of responsible online casino gaming initiatives in the industry’s ongoing growth.
From server-based games to RFID tracking technology to online casino gaming, the online gambling industry leaders on the panel agreed technology is changing the way online casino customers enjoy gaming entertainment as well as the way gaming companies do business. However, they did emphasize that new technologies will not be adopted and eventually become pervasive. This could change if an improved entertainment experience for the customer could be offered.
‘With server-based gaming, we’re moving from a stand-alone [slot machine] environment to a network environment. New technologies such as this need to take into account what customers are looking for and how this new environment can deliver an improved entertainment experience,’ said T.J. Matthews, a CEO of a leading online casino gaming technology firm. Another online casino leader pointed to multi-player slot machines as one of the new technology products that integrate into the new network environment.
