Manchester United Hope To Improve Standing By Signing Radamel Falco
Manchester United has still not managed to win a match this season. Twice they have been held to a draw by teams which in previous seasons would have posed absolutely no threat.
Last weekend, in the debut match of Angel Di Maria, the team were held to a 0 – 0 draw by Burnley. Now in the final week of the transfer period boss Louis van Gaal is busy making last minute deals to try and improve the team’s prospects. Van Gaal has already signed defenders Luke Shaw, Marcos Rojo, midfielder Ander Herrera and forward Di Maria since he was appointed to the job earlier this year.
His latest signing is Colombian striker Radamel Falcao in a £6 million season-long loan deal from Monaco. Falcao is a heavy scorer with 11 goals to his name in 20 appearances for Monaco and there will be high hopes that he can bring some of this success to United.
The team next plays QPR on September 14th and despite their run of bad results they are still easy favourites to win at most bookies.
After Van Gaal has spent so much money on bringing in new players, if United were to lose the upcoming match then it would certainly be a cause for concern.
