Britton says Swansea Better Prepared for Manchester City

This weekend sees Manchester City take on Swansea at the Etihad Stadium in what is expected to be a fairly unbalanced match.

However, Swansea player Leon Britton is sure that the team has improved since their last visit to Man City.

He believes that they are ready to take on the Premier League’s richest club in their own backyard.

However, he is not making any predictions about what the team can achieve in Manchester; he knows that if they win it would be the most surprising result in the club’s history.

The bookies clearly agree, they have Man City as clear favourites to win with odds of 1/4, Swansea are miles behind with odds of 14/1 to win.

A draw is considered slightly more likely, but not much with odds of 108/19.

Britton said that “last year going to Manchester City was a bit like a cup final for us” However, he said that this year the team has more experience and while it will be tough they will not be “overawed” and will “treat is as just another game.”

Considering the difference in the two club’s funding, Swansea should be proud if they achieve anything better than the 4 – 0 defeat they suffered last season.
