Broncos Have the Odds to Beat Saints on Monday
This Monday the Denver Broncos will be hosting the New Orleans Saints who are playing their first game under interim coach Joe Vitt.
While the Saints have won their last two games, they are still not expected to win. Bookies have given them odds of 40/17, massively outside of the Broncos 2/5.
The game will see Peyton Manning and Drew Brees meet for the first time since 2010.
While a lot has changed, both players are still two of the league’s top quarterbacks. Manning missed last season with a neck injury, but has proved that he is back to full health.
In each of Denver’s last three games Manning has thrown at least 300 yards, managed three touchdowns and completed more than 70% of his passes, the first NFL player to manage this.
However, despite the odds, the Broncos have only generated 42 first half points this season and have been relying on a plus 73 scoring differential in the fourth quarter, the second highest for a team’s first six games in NFL history.
Manning said that they’re “studying it and trying hard to get off to a better start.“ Should they manage it, the chances are the game is theirs for the taking.
