BetFred Pays Out on Leicester Winning the League

One lucky punter has collected £40,000 in winnings after a bookmaker paid out on Leicester City winning the Premier League this year.

Last week Leicester City beat Southampton 1 – 0 to send then seven points clear at the top of the table and with just six games to go BetFred boss Fred Done decided that the gap is now big enough that the team is sure to win. On Sunday Done announced that he will be paying out all bets of Leicester to win the league.

This led to one lucky punter rushing to his local store to claim his winnings, a massive £40K for a bet of just £20. However, this does not mean that Leicester has won the league, twice in the past Done has paid out on title-winning bets that proved to be premature and caused him significant embarrassment.
