Latest Betting Odds on the Rugby World Cup

The Rugby World Cup has finally begun and people are betting on the tournament in a fast and furious manner.
The main question punters are faced with is whether New Zealand will be able to become the first side to defend the trophy. The team is favourite to win at all bookmakers with odds of around 5/4 and since they last won the tournament, in 2011, the team has only lost three times.
England is a long way behind at 5/1 but this could make the team worth a bet as the returns will be substantial if the hosts manage to pull off a win. Already there has been a huge upset in the tournament with Japan’s defeat of South Africa which has lengthened the odds on South Africa to 10/1 but Japan still remain outsiders with odds of 250/1.
