Manchester United Sign Deal with Asian Casino Resort Operator

Manchester United football club has announced a new partnership with Donaco International LTD, one of Asia’s larger casino resort companies. The partnership makes Donaco International the team’s first official resort partner in the region.
Donaco International was founded in 2002 and it operates a number of leisure and entertainment businesses across the Asia Pacific region. Earlier this year the company purchased the Star Vegas Resort & Club in Cambodia and the company is also the owner of the five star casino resort complex Aristo International Hotel in Vietnam.
The new partnership will see the organisations working together to help Donaco attract some of the club’s 325 million fans across Asia. Donaco will be able to make use of exclusive club content and branding and this way appeal directly to the fans.
Richard Arnold, the Manchester United Group Managing Director, has described the partnership as “significant” for the club as they are the first ever official casino resort partner across Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar and South Korea. He went on to say that the club is eager to work with Donaco International to help bring more of Manchester United to the millions of fans in those countries.
Joy Lim, the managing director of Donaco International said that thanks to the partnership the company will now be able to deliver compelling marketing campaigns which will help them better engage with their customers and fans and aid growth across the region.
Further details of the partnership are not yet known but it seems likely that Donaco will have paid considerable sums for the branding rights.
