The Top Ten Premier League Midfielders 2014/15 – Part One

Before the beginning of the next Premier League season it’s time to take a look back at the top ten midfielders from last year.

In tenth place is Manchester United’s Daley Blind. While he lacks a bit of pace he reads the game brilliantly and he made a huge number of interceptions last season.

At number nine is Manchester City’s David Silva. Arguably one of the best players in the league he scores regularly and he is often the key player in City matches.

Number eight is Chelsea’s Nemanja Matic. While he began to tire at the end of last season, he performed brilliantly for most of the year and is certainly one of Chelsea’s key players.

Tottenham Hotspur’s Christian Erikse takes the seventh spot. He put in some impressive performances last year, particularly against Swansea, and he is extremely good at putting himself in the right place at the right time.

In sixth place is Liverpool’s Raheem Sterling. He has become a reliable all-round attacking threat and had more shots on target than any other Premier League midfielder last season.
