Tour de France Stage 10 Tarbes / La Pierre-Saint-Martin Preview: Chris Froome to Win at 2/1

Stage 10 of the Tour de France, through Tarbes and La Pierre-Saint-Martin, will be taking place on Tuesday, 14th July.

Race Preview:

This stage comes after a day of rest and it presents the riders with a complete change of scenery. Following the woodlands of Brittany the group will come up against its first mountain stage.

The participants will follow a 167km route through the Pyrenees. There is a long warm up of 145km before a steep climb to the finish on the top of the Soudet pass.

It is considered one of the tougher climbs with the highest percentages coming early on in the ascent and the climbers, who have been waiting for this part of the race to begin, are sure to attack.

After stage 9 the yellow jersey is being worn by Chris Froome the green jersey by Peter Sagan the polka-dot jersey by Daniel Teklehaimanot and the white jersey by Nairo Quintana Rojas.
