Chris Froome Bookies’ Favourite to Win Tour De France

This year’s Tour De France has just begun and cycling fans will be keeping a close eye on their favourites as the races unfold over the next three weeks before it comes to an end on the Champs-Élysées on July 26th.

Chris Froome is favourite to win this year and bookies are offering odds of around 6/4 on the Briton who cycles for Team Sky. After crashing out of last year’s Tour he is back and already proved that he is in shape with a recent Critérium du Dauphiné triumph.

However, Froome will be facing stiff competition from Nairo Quintana who is second favourite with odds of around 11/4. The Colombian rider missed last year’s competition in order to focus on the Giro but in 2013 he was the winner of mountains, the younger rider classifications and one individual stage.
