Bookies Suspend Betting on Charlie Austin Transfer

Bookmakers are no longer taking bets on whether Charlie Austin will be transferred from Queens Park Rangers to West Ham over the summer.

A huge amount of bets saw the odds slashed to 5/4 before the market was closed completely at Betfair. Sky Bet has also reported at surge of bets and have slashed their odds from 8/1 down to 1/4. However, punters are also betting on Austin moving to Newcastle Chelsea but there has been little speculation on him moving to Southampton or Liverpool.

Austin scored 18 goals for Queens Park Rangers last season but it wasn’t enough to prevent the team from being relegated back to the Championship. He was also called up to the national team for the games against the Republic of Ireland and Slovenia but he didn’t feature in either game.
