Predictions for the Summer Transfer Window

Predictions for the Summer Transfer Window

The summer transfer window is almost upon us and there is already a huge amount of speculation regarding who could move where. Here are a few of the more feasible possibilities.

Karim Benzema is currently playing for Real Madrid but it has been reported that both Arsenal and Liverpool are interested in signing him. In the meantime Manchester United’s David de Gea may move to Real Madrid in which case it is thought that Hugo Lloris from Tottenham could take his place at Old Trafford.

Manchester United is also interested in Edinson Cavani, the PSG player from Uruguay, but they will be facing competition from Chelsea. There have even been rumours that Cristiano Ronaldo may return to Manchester United, but this is likely to depend on his relationship with the new manager Rafa Benitez. Already on the Manchester United shortlist is Dani Alves, currently at Barcelona it is thought he could solve the team’s right-back problem.

Nathaniel Clyne had an impressive season from Southampton so it comes as no surprise that both Manchester United and Liverpool are interested in signing him. Liverpool is also thought to be interested in signing Saido Berahino who is currently at West Bromwich Albion and Ezequiel Lavezzi who is currently at PSG.
Chelsea is also interested in a number of players including Atletico Madrid’s Diego Godin and Juventus’ Arturo Vidal. However, it is thought that Vidal could cost as much as £40 million.

Southampton’s Morgan Schneiderlin has certainly caught the attention of a number of clubs this year and Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are all thought to be interested in signing the defensive midfielder.
