Premier League Fun Facts: Wins and Losses

Fans of football facts will be able to enjoy analysing the past season over the coming weeks. Here we look at some relating to wins and losses.

A nice piece of trivia is the fact that Crystal Palace has now won two league games at Anfield and Alan Pardew played in the first in 1991 and managed them in the second. Another fun fact is the fact that Leicester City became the first club to overturn a two-goal deficit against Manchester United in the Premier League when they beat them 5 – 3 in September.

Chelsea had a fantastic season but all the managers that managed to beat Mourinho had names starting with P: Pardew, Pochettino, Parkinson and Pulis. On the other hand Liverpool ended their season with their worst ever Premier League defeat (1-6) and it was the first time they’ve conceded 6 goals in a game since they lost 7 – 2 to Tottenham in 1963.
