The Top Attackers of the Premier League Season 2014/15

With another Premier League season done and dusted it is time to look at who the best attackers were of the past year.

While Leicester City hasn’t had the best season Leonardo Ulloa has been on fine form and his double against Newcastle means that he surpassed ten goals this season. Similarly, while Southampton has had a much better season than anticipated, Graziano Pelle’s header in the team’s 2 – 2 draw with Tottenham was simply superb. This season he has scored 11 goals in what was an excellent debut in the Premier League.

It is impossible to overlook Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez, since moving from Barcelona he has been absolutely excellent and has pulled off 16 goals and 8 assists this season. Sergio Aguaro also deserves special mention. His 22 goals in 30 appearances for Manchester City is a truly impressive feat.

However, the best attacker of the season was probably Aston Villa’s Christian Benteke. He scored 12 goals in 23 appearances but they were always produced at big moments and it is because of this that the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool are interested in signing him.
