Bookies Slash Odds Of Jurgen Klopp Taking Over Manchester City
At a quickly arranged press conference this week the public was told that Jurgen Klopp is leaving Borussia Dortmund. As a result there has been a huge amount of speculation that Klopp will be targeted by Manchester City.
Carlo Ancelotti was the bookies favourite to take over at Manchester City but now the odds on Klopp have been slashed at the vast majority of bookmakers. Klopp is now favourite with odds of around 5/4 at most bookies, Carlo Ancelotti has slipped into second place with odds of 9/4 at William Hill and odds of 4/1 at Betfair.
Of course there is no guarantee that Pellegrini will be leaving City but as the team has had a tough second half of the season and their place in next year’s Champions League is uncertain Pellegrini’s future is in doubt. Most bookies have odds of around 8/11 on Pellegrini leaving at the end of the season making him by far the most likely manager in the Premier League to lose his job. However, there are odds of 11/10 on the possibility of no managers leaving while below Pellegrini the next most likely manager to leave is Newcastle United’s John Carver who has odds of 14/1 at William Hill.
Klopp could end up moving to a different club, Real Madrid seems to be second favourite at most bookies with odds of around 4/1 followed by Arsenal at 8/1. William Hill has him moving to PSG at 5/1 but at most bookies the odds are considerably longer, around 14/1.
