Arsenal vs Tottenham Result Puts Spurs In Favourable Position

Once again Arsenal has failed to capitalise on a game which they were favourites to win. Bookies had Arsenal at 6/7 while Tottenham were at 4/1, but Arsenal failed to deliver and the game ended in a 1 – 1 draw.
As Tottenham manager Pochettino said, it’s a good result for the team and was well deserved after a fantastic goal from Nacer Chadli. On the other hand Arsenal’s manager, Arsene Wenger, is right to be disappointed with his team’s performance. Arsenal had possession for the majority of the match and 77% possession in the second half. The team failed to convert many of its opportunities and as a result sacrificed two possible Premier League points.
There are now just two points between the two north London teams, Arsenal are fourth in the league with 10 points while Tottenham are eighth with 8 points.
Despite a relatively poor week, Arsenal is still third favourite to win the league with odds of 12/1. However, they are a long way behind Manchester City (11/4) and Chelsea (13/20). Tottenham is sixth favourite to win with odds of 100/1, a long way behind fifth favourite Liverpool who are at 25/1.
