Chelsea Disappointed After Manchester City Draw

Last weekend’s clash between Chelsea and Manchester City was sure to be close and in the end Chelsea was left disappointed after City’s Frank Lampard scored an equaliser in the eighty-fifth minute of the game.
The game was goalless until the seventy-first minute when Andre Schürrle finished off an excellent team effort. Had it been the game’s only goal then Chelsea would now be eight points clear of Manchester City.
To add insult to injury, not only did Manchester City’s goal deny Chelsea the three points which would’ve consolidated its place at the top of the table, but it came from the club’s all-time record goal-scorer. Lampard left Chelsea at the end of last season having scored 211 goals in 648 games for the club.
Nonetheless, Chelsea remain three points clear at the top of the table after five games, five points ahead of Manchester City who are in sixth place.
Chelsea next face Aston Villa and they are clear favourites to win with odds of 2/9 compared to Villa’s 14/1. Moreover, Chelsea is still favourite to win the league, ahead of Manchester City, with odds of 8/11. The best odds on City are 10/3.
