Manchester United Prospects Diminished After Leicester City Match

Leicester City came back from 3 – 1 down to defeat Manchester United 5 – 3 in a thrilling game on Sunday afternoon.
A header from Robin van Persie and a delicate goal from Angel di Maria put United 2 – 0 in front after just 16 minutes. Leonardo Ulloa reduced the deficit in the 17th minute but Ander Herrera once again extended United’s lead.
However, Leicester came back with a penalty from David Nugent and then a goal from Esteban Cambiasso to eliminate United’s lead. Then a penalty from Leonardo Ulloa and a goal from Jamie Vardy secured the win.
United’s manager Louis van Gaal urgently needs to address the team’s defensive issues. Leicester City were outsiders before the game with odds of 26/5 to win compared to United’s 14/19. United have only won 1 out of 5 games this season and they have lost and drawn games with teams that are considered far below their standard.
For now Manchester United are still fourth favourite to win the league with odds of 10/1 (Leicester are true outsiders with odds of 1500/1) but these will change unless the team turns the season around.
