Premier League Prospects Up For Chelsea After Diego Costa Hat-Trick
Chelsea beat Swansea 4 – 2 on Saturday with the help of a hat-trick from Diego Costa. The Spanish international has now scored seven goals in four games since being bought for £32 million from Atletico Madrid.
Swansea took an early lead in the game thanks to an unfortunate own goal from John Terry but Costa equalised just before half time. He then scored again just 11 minutes into the second half, and again 11 minutes after that. Loic Remy scored the fourth but Swansea’s Jonjo Shelvey did manage to pull one back in extra time.
Chelsea has had an excellent start the season winning all four games, the only team in the league to do so. Thanks to Costa’s fantastic display, in all four of those games, it is easy to see why the team are the bookies’ favourite to win the league. Many bookies are offering odds of 4/6 on Chelsea; Manchester City is second favourite but significantly behind with odds of 3/1.
Next week Chelsea play Manchester City away in what is sure to be a thrilling encounter, but given City’s start to the season, Chelsea are sure to be favourite to win.
