Louis Van Gaal Says One Year Needed to Fix Manchester United

After Manchester United’s shock exit from the Capital One Cup to MK Dons, Louis Van Gaal has said it will take a year to fix the team.

Van Gaal praised MK Dons saying that they played “very well” and said that he’s “not shocked” at the result. He went on to say that it has been a tough start to the season with a defeat at home, a draw with Sunderland and defeat in a cup match.

However, he asked fans to be patient and explained that he is there to build up a new team which cannot be done in a month, and possibly not in a year but insisted he knows what he is doing.

The result came on the same day that United broke the British transfer record by completing the signing of Real Madrid winger Angel di Maria for £59.7 million.

Whatever Van Gaal says, fans will be hoping that this new signing brings the club some better results in the coming weeks.
