Tiger Woods was obviously in a great deal of pain at the Bridgestone Invitational which has cast doubts over his ability to play at the US PGA Championship.

After his buggy ride from the ninth fairway Woods was visibly in pain when he attempted to change his shoes in the Firestone car park. Overall he looked extremely frail and his overall demeanour dismissed any notion that he has solved his back problems.

As a result the odds on Woods in the US PGA Championship are extremely long. Fans who believe Woods will make a comeback will find odds of 33/1 on him winning the event at many bookmakers. Furthermore, it is not known if he will be able to compete in the Ryder Cup. Many are even speculating that his whole golfing career may have to come to an end.

Rory McIlroy is now the common favourite to win the PGA Championship with odds of 5/1 or better available. Other players considered to have a good chance of winning include Adam Scott, Sergio Garcia, Justin Rose and Rickie Fowler.
