US PGA Championship Favourites Shaken Up by Tiger Woods Injury

During last week’s WGC Bridgestone Invitational in Ohio it was obvious that Tiger Woods was in an immense amount of pain. As a result his place in the upcoming US PGA Championship is in serious doubt.

Tiger Woods was obviously in a great deal of pain at the Bridgestone Invitational which has cast doubts over his ability to play at the US PGA Championship.
As a result the odds on Woods in the US PGA Championship are extremely long. Fans who believe Woods will make a comeback will find odds of 33/1 on him winning the event at many bookmakers. Furthermore, it is not known if he will be able to compete in the Ryder Cup. Many are even speculating that his whole golfing career may have to come to an end.
Rory McIlroy is now the common favourite to win the PGA Championship with odds of 5/1 or better available. Other players considered to have a good chance of winning include Adam Scott, Sergio Garcia, Justin Rose and Rickie Fowler.
