On the 22nd of August, champions Bayern Munich will kick-off Bundesliga at home against Wolfsburg.

In March this year, Bayern Munich defeated Wolfsburg 6 -1.

Meanwhile, the first match of the season for Borussia Dortmund will be against Bayer Leverkusen. This will be an interesting match since Roger Schmidt, the former Red Bull Salzburg coach, was hired by Bayern during the off-season.

Meanwhile, Borussia Mönchengladbach will host Stuttgart, who are managed by Armin Veh, on the opening weekend, while FC Schalke will be heading to Hannover.

Last season’s second tier champions, Cologne, will take on Hamburg while Paderborn will get the opportunity to make their debut at Bundesliga against Mainz, headed by Kasper Hjulmand.

Elsewhere, Freiburg will take on Eintracht Frankfurt with Thomas Schaaf getting the opportunity to take part in his first league match.

On the first day of matches, Werder Bremen and Hertha Berlin will meet on the field while Hoffenheim will host FC Augsburg.

During the second round of fixtures, Bayern Munich will be hosted by Schalke at the Veltins Arena. On the fourth day of matches, Hamburg will host Bayern Munich while Köln will take on Borussia Mönchengladbach.

On the 26th of September, the sixth match day will kick off with Borussia Dortmund heading to Schalke for the first Ruhr derby between the sides. On match day 23, the return match will be played, which will only take place at the end of February.

On match day 10, Dortmund will face Bayern in the Allianz Arena and on match day 27, these teams will meet again at Signal Iduna Park. On the 13th of August, these sides will also meet in the DFL Super Cup.
