Three Teams Rule the FIFA World Cup

The FIFA World Cup 2014 kicked off in Brazil on the 12th of June.

Despite only running for a few days, bookmakers are already stating that only three teams have the chance of taking home the trophy at the final game on the 13th of July. These teams include Brazil, Germany or Argentina.

Three Teams Rule the FIFA World Cup

According to bookmakers, only three teams have a chance at taking home the World Cup trophy.

If the bookmakers are right, you have to be asking yourself why people even bet on the group stage of this tournament.

The reality is, sports betting is big in Great Britain and it is legal. With this in mind, paying attention to the odds is smart, especially since bookmakers know what they are talking about, right?

Currently, Brazil is a hot favorite with 3/1 to win the World Cup. In second place is Argentina with odds of 19/5 and then Germany, after defeating Portugal, at 9/2 in betting.

Other countries on the betting line include France and Italy at 18/1, the USA at 100/1 and England and 33/1. Spain is sitting at 14/1 and the Dutch at 9/1.

Spread betting is also very popular and it allows you to bet on other elements of a game such as red and yellow cards in a game, number of corner kicks, number of goals etc.

So who is your money on for the win at the World Cup this year?
