Mark Munoz vs. Gegard Mousasi – Preview and Odds
UFC Fight Night 41 will see Gegard Mousasi fight it out with Mark Munoz in Germany at the O2 Arena in five rounds of hard hitting action.
Both fighters are top-15 ranked middleweight contenders but they bring to the ring different fighting styles.
Munoz is known as the “The Filipino Wrecking Machine” and he has shifted his MMA wrestling style into a knockout fighter. With 13 wins under his belt, six ended in a knockout including stoppage wins against Kendall Grove, CB Dollaway and Chris Leben.
Mousasi though fights a different fight and this black belt in judo fighter is known for starting slow and finishing hard.
Earlier this year, Mousasi saw his seven-fight unbeaten streak swept out from under him with his defeat to Lyoto Machida. Mousasi is, however, well-known for willing to fight anyone such as Renato Sobral, Mark Hunt, Hector Lombard and many others.
Interestingly enough, Munoz is also coming into the fight off a loss to Machida last October after he replaced Michael Bisping. Munoz has also been sidelined most of the year due to a series of injuries but after he defeated Tim Boetsch, it’s clear he is ready for the fight against Mousasi.
Bookies are offering odds of 11/5 for a Mark Munoz win and 3/10 for a Gegard Mousasi win.
