Muhammed Lawal vs. Quinton Jackson In A Grudge Match
Sunday 18th May 2014 will see Rampage Jackson (34-11-0) square up against King–Mo Lawal (12-3-0) in a fight that has everyone talking.
This fight has also already being titled MMA’s biggest “grudge match”.
The tensions got kick started last Friday after Jackson’s TKO win when Lawal then stepped into the cage and the two exchanged words and threats.
Both fighters kicked off their careers as wrestlers and then added boxing to their skills.
Lawal has spent time in the Mayweather camp and the American Kickboxing Academy which many feel has drawn him away from what made him famous which was his wrestling. Lawal has nine KO wins under the belt.
Jackson, on the other side, holds 16 KO wins and is well known for defending strikes and keeping distance on power shots. Rampage Jackson seldom uses his wrestling but might just have to in this fight although Lawal is no longer an elite when it comes to take downs.
According to various online polls, it seems that supporter consensus is that Jackson will take the fight by KO or TKO.
The bookies are currently offering 2/1 on Lawal for a win and 4/11 for Jackson to win.
