Try-Outs for The Ultimate Fighter 20

On April 28th the UFC is holding try-outs to fill the six remaining empty spots for season 20 of “The Ultimate Fighter”. This year’s season is set to be slightly different than previous years and the prize at the end of the show is bigger than ever.

The UFC is debuting its new strawweight division so for the first time all cast members in the house are women, at the end of the season the winner will be crowned the first UFC strawweight champion.

Ten spots on the show have already been filled by fighters such as Carla Esparza and a number of top contenders from the women’s 115-pound division. Paddy Power has also opened a betting market on the winner of the competition; the favorite is Tecia Torres with odds of 11/4 followed by: Joanne Calderwood (16/5), Carla Esparaza (7/2) and Claudia Gadelha (11/2).

Some fighters have already confirmed that they will be participating in the try-outs such as former Invicta atomweight champion Jessica Penne, Lisa Ellis, Heather Clark, Kailin Curran and Randa Markos.

With so much talent taking part, it looks set to be an action packed series that is sure to keep fans on the edge of their seats.
