Clay Guida vs. Tatsuya Kawajiri Betting Preview
This weekend sees Clay Guida fight Tatsuya Kawajiri in the co-main event of UFC Fight Night 39 in Abu Dhabi and it looks set to be a close match.
Guida will be trying to break out of his bad run; he has lost 3 of his last four matches. However, Paddy Power thinks he has a slight edge giving him odds of 8/11 to win; the odds on Kawajiri winning are 11/10.
In a recent interview Guida promised fans that he is still capable of winning fights, “People have seen the long list of good fights and exciting fights I’ve had. If they’re going to hold it against me, the Maynard fight and Hioki fight, then the best is yet to come is what I tell them. Just hang in there. I’m going to be here a while and there will be some more Fight of the Nights and Fight of the Years for them.”
Kawajiri only recently made his UFC debut, against Sean Soriano. Kawajiri was able to beat Soriano with a rear-naked choke in the second round; however, a fight against Guida is a significant step up. Still by all accounts it’s set to be a close match.
