Arsenal vs Manchester City Betting Preview

This weekend Manchester City travel to the Emirates Stadium to take on Arsenal in what could be one of the biggest matches of the season. Both teams are playing well; however, Arsenal has suffered from a recent dip in form which needs to be reversed if the team has any hope of a top four finish.

Unfortunately for the Gunners the bookies have picked Manchester City as favorite to win with odds of 11/10. Odds on an Arsenal win are 5/2 while a draw has been placed at 12/5.

The odds were no doubt affected by Arsenal’s disappointing draw with Swansea City earlier this week, a result of Mathieu Flamini’s late own-goal. Flamini has described the upcoming clash with City as “a big one.” He says that the team wants “to do well, especially after the big loss against Chelsea. We want to prove that we’re one of the big teams in the Premier League.”

It is now important for Arsenal to demonstrate to its fans that the team is still strong and capable of winning big games. It will take a while for the 6-0 defeat by Chelsea to be forgotten.
