Will Dan Henderson Take the Win at UFC Fight Night 38?
On Sunday this week, 23 March, Dan Henderson who is the former Strikeforce champion and Pride FC, will fight it out in a rematch with Mauricio Rua, the former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light-heavyweight strap hangar.
The UFC Fight Night 38 will take place in Brazil at the Nelio Dias Gym in Natal which is in Rio Grande do Norte.
It seems though that it is almost the end of the road for Henderson as the 43 year old is on a 3-fight losing streak. He was also recently knocked out by Vitor Belfort which marked his first knockout ever.
In 2011 at the UFC 139, Henderson took on Rua in a five-round event showing off his overhand right punch which his fans call the ‘H-bomb’. Meanwhile, Rua who is training with Demian Maia in Sao Paulo, is hoping to avenge his first loss.
In December last year, Rua defeated James Te Huna which should give him some confidence when stepping into the ring with Henderson. Despite being only 32 years old, Rua has taken some heavy blows which has opened up the question if he still has longevity in this sport.
If you want to make some money off this fight, then PaddyPower is offering 2/5 odds for a Rua win and 15/8 if Henderson comes out victorious. Odds will be even if Rua is defeated by submission or KO while the odds will be 9/2 if Henderson loses by K/O or submission.
In terms of odds on the number of rounds, there is 6/5 odds on under 2.5 rounds and 8/13 odds on over 2.5 rounds. In terms of round betting, the odds are 4/1 if Rua takes a win in Round 1 with 14/1 if Henderson takes down Rua in the first round.
