Cheltenham 2014, The Embodiment of Cheltenham
The Cheltenham Festival 2014 is set to be one of the greatest sporting events. Knowing who to look out for will give punters the edge over the bookies.
One of the contenders to take note of is Our Conor that could become one of three horses in 30 years to win the Champion Hurdle as a five-year-old and even though she took defeats earlier in the season in Ireland, the weather is now in her favor.
Hot tips for Tuesday are 3.20 Our Conor, 4.40 Shotgun Paddy and 5.15 Manyriverstocross.
The record books could be rewritten for Quevenga on Tuesday if she achieves her 6th consecutive OLBG Mares Hurdle win. The current record is held by Golden Miller who won five consecutive Gold Cups between 1932 and 1936. The £85,000 race will start at 16h00 GMT and will take place over two and a half miles.
On Wednesday things will get interesting with punters pointing to Red Sherlock in the “Neptune” novice hurdle but all eyes are on the feature race, the Queen Mother Champion Chase especially since last year’s winner, Sprinter Sacre, has defected.
Don’t forget to keep your eyes open for Sire De Grugy who has had a sterling season even though he prefers right-handed tracks. Hot tips for Wednesday include: 1.30 Red Sherlock, 2.05 Many Clouds, 2.40 Leo Luna.
