A draw has been placed at 9/4.However, the teams have fairly similar statistics for this season. Aston Villa is 12th in the league having won 7, drawn 6 and lost 12 games. Cardiff has won 5, drawn 6 and lost 14 placing them 19th in the league.
Villa maybe without defender Ryan Bertrand for this match after he hurt his ribs in a collision with a goalpost.
Bertrand was injured during the 2-0 defeat to West Ham but played through the pain before being replaced by Joe Bennett for the last 15 minutes of the game.
Manager Paul Lambert said, ““It’s his ribs, I think, at the minute. I don’t think he’s broken them but we’ll have to see tomorrow. I don’t know if he will be available for Tuesday but the problem was from his collision against the post.”
