Erik Silva vs Takenori Sato UFC Fight Night Betting Preview
Erick Silva was due to fight Nate Loughran at UFC Fight Night 36, however, Loughran had to drop out and Takenori Sato has stepped in to fill his place on February 15th.
However, the bookies think that Sato may have bitten off more than he can chew. The odds on Silva to win are 1/10 and Sato is miles behind at 6/1. If Sato manages to pull off a win then some betting fans could be in for a massive payday.
Silva has actually lost two of his last three matches. He was first destroyed by Jon Fitch and then more recently Dong Hyun Kim got the better of him last October. Silva was clearly unprepared for such tough competition and it will be interesting to see what kind of shape he is in next weekend.
Sato has mainly competed in the Pancrase and DEEP promotions. He is currently on an eight-fight winning streak which includes two draws. However, he hasn’t fought many big names; his most prominent opponent was Joe Doerksen who beat him via technical knockout in 2009.
